About The Founder

Shobhit Agrawal, also known as Food Attic on Instagram. His coffee journey began as a home brewer and has since evolved into a professional venture encompassing training, processing, and more

In 2021, Shobhit proudly clinched the title of Indian Aeropress Champion, marking the first home brewer to achieve this feat. His dedication to the world of coffee led him to pursue an MSc in Coffee Economics and Science from the Ernesto Illy Foundation.

Additionally, he holds the Q Processor Level 1 certification and has successfully processed over ten specialty robusta lots.

He is honoured to serve as an official Latte Art Championship judge.

Shobhit's initial curiosity and passion for learning ignited this remarkable journey. He had the privilege of connecting with industry professionals, including baristas, roasters, planters, and coffee enthusiasts.

Tasting over 200 coffees from various roasters, estates, farms, varietals, and processing methods has enriched his knowledge in a relatively short time, though he acknowledges that there's always more to explore and learn.

As Shobhit embarked on his coffee odyssey, he aimed to purchase an Aeropress but wanted to experience it first. A simple tweet connected him with generous individuals who lent him their Aeropress for a few weeks.

From being a mere coffee consumer to delving deep into the world of coffee, this passion and curiosity culminated in Shobhit's victory at the Indian Aeropress Championship in 2021. It was an opportunity to represent India on a global stage, a win not just for him but also for the Speciality Coffee Industry of India.

It reflects the evolving coffee culture and the promising direction that home brewers and enthusiasts are steering us towards. This win is a collective triumph that celebrates our shared love for coffee.
